Common questions
Do I need an account or internet?
No account. The whole Gita is inside the app and reads offline. The app only goes online to look for updated text.
The daily reminder does not appear.
Check that notifications are allowed for Sarathi in iOS Settings, then in Sarathi's own settings. Reminders do not appear while Focus or Do Not Disturb is hiding them.
I think a passage's Sanskrit or meaning is wrong.
Open Settings in the app and choose Report a text issue. Pick the passage and share the note with us. It contains only the passage and the text version, and nothing is sent unless you choose to share it. Corrections are published as a new text version, so you get them without a new App Store update.
I got a new phone or reinstalled the app. Where are my notes?
Your notes are stored only on the phone they were written on. They come back if you restore that phone's backup. We cannot recover them because we never receive them.
How do I delete my data?
Delete the app. All of its data is removed from your phone.
About the text
The Sanskrit text is in the public domain. The English text is AI-generated from the Sanskrit and checked against it. It is meant to be read in plain modern language. If you are studying the Gita closely, please read it alongside a traditional commentary.
